Pictured is Tuva Wastberg, engaged in an activity she loves – skiing with friends and family. She is currently a sophomore studying at University of North Carolina Wilmington. Tuva is pursuing a major in Media & Communication Science with a specialization in Marketing Communications. She is an exchange student and will only study in Wilmington for one semester before returning back home to Sweden.
The choice of spending a semester in North Carolina was easy for Tuva – it is an opportunity for personal growth. Engaging in a different educational system encourages adaptability, resilience, and cross-cultural communication skills. Tuva considers all of these attributes to be essential when working in the communicational field.
Tuva aspires to become a project manager. She realized project management would be the perfect job for her when reflecting on her past involvements and experiences – Tuva was the captain of the basketball team, she organized multiple events at her previous schools and she always felt comfortable taking on the leadership role in group projects.
