Hello! My name is June Crawford and I am a senior from Manasquan, New Jersey. I grew up in a small beach town so Wilmington feels like an extension of my hometown. I first attended George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, but after freshman year I couldn’t stand being landlocked any longer. I then transferred to Cape Fear Community College for the beginning of my sophomore year and was officially accepted to UNC Wilmington the Spring of 2016. It has been a ride but there is truly no place I’d rather be. I chose to study Communication because it is present and necessary today more than ever. I hope to go down the road of marketing, advertising, management or event planning after graduation. In my spare time I love to surf, skate, spend time outside, and play guitar. I look forward to learning more ‘real-world’ communication practices in IMC II this semester!
