Kari is a senior at the University of North Carolina Wilmington graduating in May 2023. Kari will be graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a concentration in Integrated Marketing Communication, and a minor in Business. Kari has been very involved during her four years at UNCW. She is a member of Student Ambassadors, works for Campus Life, has served as the Treasurer, Vice President, and President of the UNCW Equestrian Club, and is a former tour guide. Kari also loves spending time with her family, friends, and her dogs. Kari loves the outdoors, traveling, the beach, walking the loop, trying new restaurants, and reading.
Kari has managed to be a full-time student and work a full-time job during her junior and senior years. Kari works as a Transaction Coordinator at Aspyre Realty Group where she has learned many useful skills. Kari has also had the opportunity to intern for a realtor as a marketing team assistant during the summer of 2021. Through her jobs and the major, she has learned how to be extremely organized, multi-task, be creative, learn how to use Adobe InDesign, help plan COM Studies Week 2023, help run the COM Studies social media account, design logos, and websites, and create marketing material for social media accounts, brand identity guides, etc.
Kari was born and raised in North Carolina, but after graduation, she will be giving the other coast a try. She will be moving to Seattle, Washington where she hopes to pursue a career she loves in either event planning or marketing.
