Creating with enthusiasm and intention.
Jaci Grachen is currently a senior at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She will be graduating in May of 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and a minor in Digital Arts. During her time at UNCW, she focused on classes in integrated marketing for her Communication Studies degree and graphic design for her Digital Arts minor. While in school, Jaci developed the knowledge and skills to create marketing materials such as brand identity guides, social media materials, and more. She has a certificate in Hootsuite Platform Training which shows her understanding of social media management. Jaci loves learning new graphic design techniques so that she can produce a product she is proud of. She has designed podcast covers, logos, t-shirts, prints, advertisements, and more.
Jaci grew up in the small town of Advance, North Carolina. After graduation in May, she will be staying in town and getting married to a Wilmington native. As an intern at the publishing company N2, she designs advertisements for local publications. It would be her dream to be hired as a full-time ad designer and continue working with her team at N2. Although this is her initial hope for after graduation, one day she hopes to run her own branding agency that focuses on working with small businesses and local startups.
Jaci is known for being quick-witted, creative, and optimistic. Outside of school and work, Jaci enjoys cooking! She loves taking recipes from the famous food blogger Half Baked Harvest and adapting them to be her own. Jaci also enjoys exploring Bald Head Island. It’s her and her fiancé’s favorite day trip when they want to get out of Wilmington for a little. Then, on their way home, they eat dinner at Provision Company in Southport, NC. The thing that she loves most about cooking is that it brings her “people” together. As a soon-to-be college graduate, wife, and professional, Jaci is focusing on sharpening her abilities so that she will exude confidence in every area of her life.
